Integrating Barcoding with an Oracle forms App

by: regi100

Rating8.6Very Good

I have an application written in oracle forms 4.5

It takes user input such as item code , item description, quantity , e.t.c.

All along item code was user supplied.

We have since decided to improve integrity and traceability by generating bar codes labels , sticking
them onto the items so that the user will only need to scan in the code

My problem is :

how can i integrate the sannner which reads the bar code
with my application so that the scanned bar code can populate my item code field

basically - can any one advise me on the best way to integrate bar coding into my application.
