Cannot Add or Update records using MS Access forms

by: yi_unt100

Rating8.2Very Good

I'm using MS Access as a front-end to Oracle. One of the forms designed in Access is based on a query on just two tables. One table has the employee timesheet data and the other has employee names, etc. The tables are joined on employee ID.

The form displays the timesheet data as well as the name for each employee just fine. However, I cannot update or add a record using the form or even the underlying query.

Help!

Hello guys! I have a very strange problem here, which I have already analyzed for hours now. I just can't find a logical explanation to the behaviour. I have a view made up of several tables, including one via a database link. No problem at all so far! A user just informed of a case where data concerning a specific record is not displayed. Henc…
  3. How to update existing data in orgalce10g table…
I am new to SQL but have good basic knowledge of SQL and have used the update many times to update 1 record at a time. The table that I want to update contains two columns that contains data that is spelled incorrectly.. I want to update the misspelled rows using a csv file. I have searched everywhere on the net but am not finding a way to use the update …
  4. Oracle add a field/index  to a table template
A junior question: Is there any template to test if a column exists in current table, if it exists then do nothing (or drop it and then create this column), if it doesn't exist, then directly add this column to this table. Also, is there a template to add an index to a table, if the index name exists, then drop it first and then create the new index... La…
  5. Create a DB Link to access 1 table only
I want to create a db link that will have access to only 1 remote table.
